All About Our Founder
Meet Tyria Cowan (she/her) Community Builder, President & Founder of the House of W.O.M.B., Housing Justice Activist, Kentucky Mobile Notary. She serves her passion as the President and Case Manager of the House of W.O.M.B. (H.O.W.). She is also a mother of three who prides herself in her commitment to creating therapeutic spaces that are designed to safely bring together women from diverse backgrounds to build positive relationships, create collaborative art experiences, empower women and uplift our community.
At fifteen, our founder became a mother, facing countless struggles and hardships. Without family support or guidance, she overcame incredible obstacles to succeed in her new role. Her experiences sparked a vision to create a supportive community for women and children in crisis. Today, her organization provides a sanctuary- a place of hope, healing, new beginnings, and essential resources for those who need it the most!
